Three modules, one existing relationship
Vornix already answers the phone. Cuspid is the next layer up: turning the clinical and administrative work that happens around that phone call — charting the visit, reminding the patient, keeping the practice-management system in sync — into the same trusted product, instead of three separate vendor relationships.
Panel mockups below are illustrative only — see the labeled Simulated walkthrough for the scripted, working scenarios.
Ambient charting
Visit audio → a dental-shaped chart note (tooth/surface notation, periodontal readings), ready for the clinician to review and file. Not a generic medical scribe reformatted — built for how a dental chart actually reads.
Recall & confirmation SMS
Automated recall reminders, appointment confirmations, and follow-ups over text — riding on the phone number and client relationship Vornix already owns, not a bolt-on comms subscription.
PMS-assist
A bridge into the practice-management system (via the Kolla Unify integration layer) so chart notes, schedules, and patient records can start talking to the rest of the practice's software — scoped honestly to what's technically confirmed today (see demo).
The existing Vornix book — not a new market
An existing or prospective Vornix client: a single-location or small-group (2-4 dentist) independent dental practice in San Diego County, owner-operated, already running or evaluating Vornix's voice-reception product.
- Runs one of the 8 PMS platforms the Kolla Unify bridge covers: Dentrix, Dentrix Enterprise, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, Denticon, Dolphin, WinOMS, OrthoTrac. [sourced, RESEARCH.md §2.3]
- Not a 10+-location DSO-adjacent group — that's a different buyer, enterprise procurement, outside Vornix's current motion.
What the pieces cost elsewhere
Ops buyers compare — so the same competitive review that anchors the internal appendix below is reproduced here, not just summarized.
| Vendor | Price | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Freed | $39–119/mo | Generic clinician scribe, no dental-specific structure. freed.ai/pricing, 2026-07-29 |
| Heidi Health | $110–180/mo | Same generic-clinician gap. heidihealth.com/pricing, 2026-07-29 |
| Abridge | no public price | Enterprise/health-system sales-led; /pricing 404s. abridge.com, 2026-07-29 |
| Weave (comms) | $199+/mo | Comms-bundle price floor; no standalone appointment-SMS seller found under $199/mo. INDUSTRY-NOTES.md, PITCH-018 |
| Kolla Unify (PMS bridge) | $19–29/loc, 10-loc min | Covers 8 PMS platforms; chart-write field-completeness unconfirmed per PMS. RESEARCH.md §2.3 |
No dental-specific ambient-charting competitor was found this pass — a real gap, not yet exhaustively confirmed absent (WebSearch was exhausted). RESEARCH.md §2.1
Priced as upsells, not a new price ladder
Sold on top of the existing Vornix relationship ($2.5K setup + $500/mo shape, cited as structural reference, not restated) — module-by-module, not a bundled all-or-nothing platform fee.
| Module | Price | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Ambient charting | $79–119/mo per clinician | positioned inside Freed's Core-tier band; RESEARCH.md §2.1 |
| Recall / confirmation SMS | $79–149/mo | below Weave's $199/mo comms-bundle floor; RESEARCH.md §2.2 |
| PMS-assist | $19–29/location pass-through + services markup | Kolla Unify floor, 10-location pooling minimum; RESEARCH.md §2.3 |
Delivery gross margin vs. services-industry benchmark
component cost at Base ($37/mo) and Retell-quality ($200/mo) build tiers against a $500/mo retainer shape; benchmark from background/SAAS-ECONOMICS.md §5. RESEARCH.md §4.Simulated product walkthrough
Three scripted scenarios of what actually using each module would look like — every scenario synthetic and clearly labeled. This is a mockup for the roadmap conversation, not a working system.

Questions before the roadmap review
Five hardest objections, answered from this idea's own research — reused from PITCH.md, not softened for this page.
Why pay extra when Freed/Heidi exist cheaper?
Neither is dental-charting-shaped; the wedge is fit, not price.
Does it actually write into our PMS?
Honest answer: unconfirmed today. Generates a note ready for clinician review, not a guaranteed direct chart write, until Kolla's field-level write completeness is tested per PMS.
Is it HIPAA-compliant?
Infrastructure BAA chain is largely in place; a PMS-specific BAA is a real per-practice item still to handle before write-access ships.
Does the Kolla fee raise my cost below 10 pooled locations?
Yes, structurally, until Vornix pools 10+ locations; Vornix absorbs or flat-fees this near-term.
Why extend instead of just raising the existing retainer price?
Cross-selling a trusted vendor is lower-CAC than either a price-risk-churn move or a cold net-new sales motion this idea has no built channel for.
The ask
A prioritized roadmap review: which of these three modules the 3 pending Vornix clients would pay for first. Not a signup, not a sale — a working session.
