Client Profile
Not every advisory shop — a specific, mechanically identifiable slice of one.
Solo and small-team (1-5 advisor) CFP®-credentialed principals running their own Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) — fee-only or hybrid — with AUM plausibly under the ~$100M SEC-registration line, meaning most are state-registered, not SEC-registered.
- Runs client relationships without a dedicated ops/admin staffer
- Currently tracks KPI goals, contact cadence, intake forms, and client data across disconnected tools or an ad hoc personal spreadsheet
- Findable today on two public registries: SEC IAPD (adviserinfo.sec.gov, filtered by state + reported AUM) cross-referenced against CFP Board's Verify tool (cfp.net/verify-a-cfp-professional) for active CFP® status
Schedule of Services
Mapped directly to the four needs the product was built around — not a generic feature list.
-
KPI-goal dashboard
New AUM, new households, reviews completed, referrals — set targets, see progress against them at a glance, every login.
-
Contact-cadence queue
Who's actually due for a touch and why, pulled from each household's own cadence rule — not a birthday-card default blast.
-
Form organize + autofill
Reuse client data you've already entered once across forms — not a second questionnaire builder, a way to stop retyping the same address a third time.
-
Low-friction client data entry
One clean place to add and update household data — the thing that makes the other three tools actually stay current instead of going stale.
Fee Schedule
Priced against the workflow it replaces, not a generic per-seat SaaS number.
from the mid-weight vertical-tool band ($99-299/mo) in

willingness-to-pay figure.
| Tier | Monthly fee | Seats | Included services | Breakeven |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | $149/mo | 1 advisor seat | KPI-goal dashboard; contact-cadence queue; low-friction client data entry | ~0.6–1 hr/mo saved |
| Practice | $299/mo | Up to 5 advisor seats | Everything in Solo; form organize + autofill; small-team ready (1–5 seats) | ~1.2–2 hrs/mo saved |
Exhibit A
The breakeven math, visually
At a $150–250/hr self-valuation of an advisor's own time (unverified), recovering 1.2–2 hours a month clears the Practice tier's cost.
Bar lengths are proportional to dollar values shown (scale: 1px ≈ $1.62/mo). from SAAS-ECONOMICS.md §6 Example B, built specifically for this vertical.
Specimen Walkthrough
TallyHelm doesn't exist yet — this is a scripted mockup of what using it would look like, built from Carsten's own described workflow. Every screen is labeled SIMULATED; nothing here is a real client or a working application.
Three scenarios: the KPI dashboard, the contact-cadence queue, and form autofill. Step through them below.

Questions a fiduciary should ask us
The five hardest questions, answered from this idea's own research — not generic copy.
"I already have Wealthbox or Redtail for CRM — why do I need another tool?"
No single incumbent — Wealthbox, Redtail, Holistiplan, PreciseFP, or AdvicePay — covers more than one of the four needs above. A full CRM + forms stack alone runs $75–160/mo and still has zero KPI-dashboard or cadence-queue coverage. TallyHelm isn't a CRM replacement; it's the layer none of those tools built.
"Is this actually compliant with my recordkeeping obligations, or just another vendor asking me to trust it?"
17 CFR 275.204-2 requires RIAs to "make and keep true, accurate and current" specified records, including communications — TallyHelm's contact-cadence logs are built to be retrievable/exportable for the 5-year window the rule requires, not a generic "we're secure" claim. Honest caveat: your specific state's rules also apply and haven't been individually reviewed for your firm.
"How is this different from PreciseFP, which already does forms?"
PreciseFP ($89/mo, 100 profiles) is a questionnaire/e-signature intake tool — it doesn't do KPI tracking or contact cadence, and TallyHelm's "form autofill" means pulling from data you've already entered once, not building a second questionnaire. Complementary, not identical.
"What's my actual ROI — is $299/mo worth it?"
Recovering 1.2–2 hours/month of admin time at a $150–250/hr self-valuation clears the $299/mo cost — see Exhibit A above. Below that specific threshold, it honestly isn't worth it yet.
"You're not a CFP or an advisor — why should I trust a tool built by an outsider?"
The product's own design brief is Carsten Glass's real, working, hand-built personal dashboard — the template artifact came from a real advisor's own tool, not a guess at what advisors need.

One ask: a 20-minute pilot conversation. No purchase, no commitment — just a look at whether the KPI dashboard and cadence queue match how you actually work.
